Content: The design, development and testing of electric brakes for the DARPA/USAF/Boeing X-45A Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) demonstrator is discussed. The UCAV effort presented a new set of challenges and capability requirements for the brake system. A selection of electric brake technical development results is presented.
