Abstract
In the Department of IC Engines and Automobiles in Technical University of Radom SI engine fuelled with liquid butane injected to manifold has been investigated. The results have been compared with standard spark ignition engine fuelled with gasoline. The results of investigations show that overall efficiency of engine fuelled with butane is higher. The histories of pressure have been also registered during investigations. In results of analysis these histories the diagrams of maximum combustion pressure, rate of maximum pressure rise, position on maximum pressure and mechanical and thermal efficiency as a function of engine torque have been made.
