Authors Abstract
Content
The plastisol material that is made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin, plasticizer and filler as the main ingredients is mainly used as the body sealer for cars aiming at prevention of corrosion and water invasion. However, PVC resin has become one of the substances that should be reduced from the car body. Then after being premised on environmental correspondence, i.e., PVC free material, we develop the body sealer material that is optimized on production cost and productivity. Considering various kinds of resins (acryl, urethane, etc.) and curing systems (by heating, with moisture, etc.) we have selected the standard material and clarified each technical concern and future direction of development based on the analysis of viscous characteristics, curing behavior and viscoelasticity of cured material.
