Abstract
The 42V network will be introduced into the market for the following reasons: the increase of required vehicle electrical power, new consumers on the car network, but if its introduction is too expensive it will be delayed. In this paper VALEO ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS proposes a solution in developing the 42V generator by switching two stator windings either in parallel or in series depending on the rotation speed of the machine. This will give either added value to the system or good economical figures.
