Abstract
The potential of calculation methods for operational strength simulation is growing faster than the awareness of how these tools can be applied profitably.
We know from experience that widening the knowledge in your own specific field can contribute only little to the success of a common development project. Only getting acquainted with the basic potential and requirements of the “neighboring” department allows finding the best economic solutions.
By analyzing the development procedure of a hypoid gear box, the flow of work and data is checked on how time and money can be saved by optimally applying today's simulation methods during the project.
