Abstract
The brake chamber diaphragms play a major role by converting the pressure energy into mechanical force in pneumatic braking system. With non availability of an exact methodology for the non-linear analysis of elastomeric diaphragms with fabric for braking application an alternate methodology using an iterative non-linear FE analysis was used. This paper elaborates the alternate method.
