Authors Abstract
Content
One aspect of the evolution of environmental thinking can be described or exemplified by analyzing the use of Environmentally Adapted Lubricants (EALs). Lubricants can in many cases be a significant environmental aspect of many business activities. The transformation to more widespread use of EALs thus could well be a contribution to sustainable development. Also, it could (and should!) be a part of the continual improvements undertaken by an ISO 14000-certified actor. The EALs become a starting point for further “environmental work” and changes. One example is found in Swedish forest industry.
