Authors Abstract
Content
Among other trends, the increase of engine efficiency as well as passenger comfort are two important development objectives in today's automotive engineering. The current activities to develop new cooling systems with more control options are one of the next steps towards better fuel economy and higher comfort. To realize these systems components with enhanced controllability must be developed. The paper will address the component requirements deduced from the system demands and discuss alternative solutions to design these future components.
