The present paper presents a theoretical study that enables making a comparison of the performance of the hydraulic performance of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol based aqueous coolants. The analysis establishes equations for calculating and comparing the pressure drop encountered in the flow of coolants in the laminar, transitional and turbulent flow regimes. The study covers a wide range of temperatures.
