Abstract
Nowadays the methodical development of applications for embedded
and distributed control unit networks is a competitive advantage of
an automotive company. High demands on quality, the increasing
complexity of the systems and the rapidly growing number of
interactions between subsystems as well as time and cost
constraints lead to high requirements on methods and CASE
tools.
In this paper basic technologies for a seamless and model- based
requirements analysis are presented as they are elaborated in the
compound project "FORSOFT II Automotive - Requirements
Engineering for embedded Systems."
In this project, the Technical University of Munich, Robert
Bosch GmbH, BMW AG, Adam Opel AG, ZF Friedrichhafen AG and the tool
vendors ETAS GmbH & Co. KG, QSS GmbH and Telelogic GmbH are
working tightly together on a development method, supported by
tools for the early phases of systems development.
