Authors Abstract
Content
This paper describes the features and use of a computerized human model MAN3D in the ergonomic evaluation of a container crane workplace. Detail is given to how human models are defined based on an anthropometric survey, to how a comfortable driving posture is assumed, as well as to the main problems and the recommendations for spatial arrangement of primary controls through simulation. Emphasis is put on the possibilities and limitations of computer aided ergonomic design.
