A basic study on vibration characteristics of a fuel injection pumps~On vibration characteristics of a high-pressure fuel injection pump body

Further refinement of the fuel spray is necessary in order to obtain the combustion that reduces the pollutant in the automotive exhaust gas. For the purpose, a high-pressure type fuel-injection pump, which can spray the fuel in the high pressure, is noticed in recent years. The use of the fuel-injection pump will cause the result of finally increasing the vibration of the engine by increasing the torque nonuniformity on operating crankshaft system.
This study refers to a research on vibration characteristics of a fuel injection pump to reduce the various vibrations occurring at it. Free damping vibration tests were carried out in order to grasp each vibration characteristics of a low- pressure type and a high-pressure type fuel-injection pumps.
