Abstract
Virtual Prototyping (VP) of lightning effects on aircraft involves an integrated capability for a software simulation of the indirect effects of lightning on critical electronic systems. The capability can be applied at various design stages. A virtual validation.can also be done. The objective is to describe VP state of the art and areas requiring further development.
