Abstract
If you can?t do the little things right, you will not be able to do the big things right! Numerous challenges exist for aviation in the environment, and industry is just starting the transition to the clean environment. This presentation will summarize some general issues we are facing as an industry and discuss how specific aviation standards are contributing to making environment cleaner and greener. The target at the horizon is firm and clear, and many small steps will contribute to achieving it. The journey is complicated, many new things should be invented by engineers, and technical standards organizations always stand ready to support. This industry veteran presenter (with 42 years in aviation) will outline some building blocks of the new normal as the global community works toward a greener, cleaner future.
