Batteries being electrochemical devices, innovation and advances in chemistry and materials are key to what everyone agrees is the need for improved performance and life.

Chemistry and materials being such important ingredients to their success, battery makers and others along the battery supply chain are careful not to give away secrets. So when they give presentations at conferences or issue press releases about new developments, the focus is on garnering publicity for the company, or influencing government regulators, or attracting the attention of potential suppliers, customers, partners, and investors.
