Rat damages in automobiles/food crops/house hold things are extensive in India. Cases of Rat damages to Car Fuel tubes (plastic) and subsequent fuel leak problems are increasing in India.To protect the Fuel tube from rat bite , a more robust and easy assemble protection method is discussed. Hence Antirodent corrugated tubes are considered to protect fuel tube from rat bite. Antirodent masterbatch (3% ) were added to the corrugated tubes and lab test were done in CAZRI. Antirodent corrugated tubes tested with 2 different species showed better results compared to standard corrugated tubes

Child safety lock override mechanism - For Woman Safety Woman safety is a major concern in present world and the related laws ensure that government also cares for it. Mostly in public taxies, there is possibility for the driver to harass women occupant by activating the child safety lock without her knowledge. Purpose of child safety lock is to prevent child in the rear seat from opening the door and fall from vehicle. This will cause severe injury to the child. When child lock is ON, Inside Door handle becomes inoperative and the child cannot open the door. Only way to open door is through outside handle. But there is possibility for Taxi driver to kidnap the woman customer by enabling child safety lock, so that inside handle becomes inoperative and make her get trapped in car. To prevent such cases in future, Ministry of Road Transport ordered the manufacturers to delete child safety lock for all commercial vehicles. All round visibility is critical for safety of vehicle and road users. A vehicle must be designed in such a way that the driver encounters minimal hindrance for visibility of vehicle surroundings. This is even more essential during poor visibility conditions like during rain, snow, heavy fog etc. At present, wiper systems play an essential role in providing better visibility. There are other technological aides like cameras, sensors etc., but they must be considered as secondary systems, the must not be relied upon. Current wiper systems for front windscreen are very efficient, in terms of wiping area. But the wiper systems for rear windscreen are starkly opposite. The rear wiper arm length is very low, mainly due to low height of rear windscreen. This combined with the motion of wiper arm in an arc, results in low wiping area, leading to poor visibility through rear mirror. Experimental Analysis of LNT/DPF after Treatment System on a Passenger Car for Indian Road Condition

The Lean NOx Trap (LNT) / Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) system has been developed as one of key technologies to comply with BS VI regulations. For DPF system it is necessary to prevent excessive soot accumulation and high temperature which can lead to eventual DPF failure. For LNT system it is necessary to maintain the NOx conversion efficiency to meet the required BS VI norms. Considering the Indian road condition a methodology was developed to evaluate the soot, de-NOx and de-SOx regeneration for development of optimized LNT/DPF system.The study was carried on >1500cc, LNT/DPF equipped Euro VI diesel passenger car to evaluate the effect of regeneration characteristics in real Indian driving condition. The study was carried on different conditions such as traffic [urban mode and rural mode] and ambient condition like temperature and weather on the regeneration behavior of LNT/DPF. Stroke is the leading cause of motor disabilities around the globe. Every year, 15 million people worldwide suffer a stroke. Patients with stroke find it difficult to walk and it is nearly impossible for them to drive the vehicle. This study focuses on development of exoskeleton which can be used by paraplegic patients for walking as well as for driving. The proposed orthoses is based on two modes of usage, one when it is used for walking and the other one when it is used for driving the vehicle.Walking mode is a self-powered system which contains energy storage device (battery) and is coupled with a soft belt assembly to help a person move in the forward direction. This articulated design is also coupled with a motor which is controlled by microcontroller. Human response is given to the remote start/stop which is taken by microcontroller which senses the response and actuates the motor.
