Abstract
Long life capability for automotive applications is demanded by the major automotive groups in today's marketplace. The ability to guarantee 10 year or 100,000 mile performance demands that the system approach to cable design be implemented on a wide field of applications. Using technology that has been proven in research, development and testing to aid the transferrai of components from one field to another is important in considerations of time and money. This paper shall attempt to define what aspects of brake cable technology were incorporated into a World Class® Clutch design and how transferrals of this type can aid the product engineer.
