Abstract
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Advisory Circular AC 20-107A, Composite Aircraft Structure, issued in 1984 provides updated guidance material for use in demonstrating compliance with the provisions of the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, (FAR) regarding airworthiness type certification requirements for composite aircraft structure. This paper identifies and reviews a number of issues related to each of the major sections of this advisory circular that have been given special consideration in recent certification programs. Specific recommendations are given in each case.
