Abstract
Much progress has been made in raising the efficiency of cars, but the need to make further improvements still remains. With the major mass reductions and power generation improvements already accomplished, the quest for greater refinement becomes a more sophisticated pursuit. The general technique used in improving the oil pump, and making it produce a 25% increased delivery, as described in this paper, is expected to become typical for many accessories and other features of engines and vehicles.
