Using Electric Clutches with Hydraulic Pumps to Improve Vehicle Productivity and Fuel Efficiency

Abstract
New high torque electric clutches have been developed which have a single direct mounting pad for pumps manufactured to SAE J744C. These clutches, available in both belt and shaft driven versions, offer the opportunity for considerable improvement to be made in vehicle productivity and fuel efficiency.
