Abstract
This paper presents a discussion of the problems expected to be encountered in advancing the state-of-the-art of gas turbine engine accessories at a rate equal to advancements in basic engine components. The development of accessories for small gas turbine engines for Army applications, within the 1975-1980 time frame, is discussed. The major problem areas expected with the components and with the traditional development procedure are highlighted.
