Abstract
A new digital computer program has been developed for more efficient power spectral density analysis of vibration data. This program allows the analysis bandwidth to be varied with frequency in an arbitrary manner and incorporates other economies in the processing of the data. A preliminary evaluation of this program was carried out to assess its benefits relating to the construction of vibration specifications. The results show considerable promise for obtaining acceptable power spectral density functions at substantially reduced cost.
