Ride Comfort Evaluation of Horizontal Vibration in Tractor-Trailer Considering Human Body Motion of Driver
Published October 12, 2011 by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan in Japan
In tractor-trailer, ride comfort caused by horizontal human body motions, so called "yurayura" and "yusayusa" feelings, is at issue. Experiments using 6-axis motion generator and motion capture indicated the characteristics of each feeling. While bad subjective score of "yurayura" feeling corresponds to same-phase motion of chest and pelvis up to 0.7 Hz, "yusayusa" to antiphase of them around 2 Hz. By statistical analysis, we identified dominant vibration components of the human body and the vehicle to subjective evaluation of the feelings above.
