An Investigation of Dme Injection Characteristics Using Jerk-Type, In-Line Injection System

The purpose of this work is to investigate the feasibility of DME application for conventional jerk-type, in-line injection system which has the actual result of use to comparatively low lubricity fuel such as methanol. As the result of experimental investigation, it has been shown that this injection system has the possibility for DME application by means of 1) increasing effective stroke, 2) spreading nozzle orifice area, 3) compensating injection quantity according to fuel temperature, and 4) optimizing flow condition of low-pressure fuel supply system.
