In two SI (Mitsubishi-GDI) and CI (Nissan-MK) combustion systems on the captioned performance, there remains a conflict between rapid combustion but low NOx problems. The author would like to throw a stone to clarify this from quite a different angle. That is, these were characterized commonly by strong rotating stratification flow, heavy EGR, long ignition waiting duration through complicated stratification ignition mechanism, REABP phenomenon therefore by gaining the states of low oxygen concentration, high temperature and strong turbulence at reaction zone that the radical has been formed. These are the reasons to create the SRFNP in these engines.
