Abstract
This paper presents the design of a single row four point angular contact ball bearing with external gear teeth used as a turnable bearing in a small truck crane. In addition Durability and Performance Tests are presented. The durability of induction hardened raceways, comparison of raceway materials, durability under oscillation with one-way loading, measurement of rotating torque and the mechanism of cage failure are some of the factors examined in this paper.
