AMS6532K addresses inconsistencies that have been identified with the product as currently defined. The revision limits the carbon content (see Title and Table 1), requires approval of specific melting practices (see 3.2.1 and 3.2.2), clarifies macrostructure requirements (see 3.5.1.1 and 8.7), updates aging time consistent with industry practice (see Table 4), updates conditions that require protection (see 5.3), and limits the use of prior revisions (see 8.6).
