Abstract
An Arbitration mechanism has been developed for applications based on ISO9141-2. The mechanism is based on monitoring the bus for activity following a re quest for information from the tester and in reducing the risk of collision following the first collision. This system can be implemented without additional hardware and is already in the field with a number of vehicle manufactures and results so far are good.
