This specification covers disinfectants or chemicals for use in disinfecting aircraft after carrying livestock.
AMS J Aircraft Maintenance Chemicals and Materials Committee
This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) establishes a method for evaluating the particulate matter extracted from the working fluid of a hydraulic system or component using a membrane. The amount of particulate matter deposited on the membrane due to filtering a given quantity of fluid is visually compared against a standard membrane in order to provide an indication of the cleanliness level of the fluid.
A-6C1 Fluids and Contamination Control Committee
This method is intended to evaluate the thermal and oxidative stability of synthetic, ester-based aviation lubricants under defined conditions of time and temperature. This method is applicable to lubricants meeting the compositional and performance requirements of AS5780.

E-25 General Standards for Aerospace and Propulsion Systems
E-25 General Standards for Aerospace and Propulsion Systems
The purpose of this AIR is to provide recommendations for the minimum dimensions of characters and symbols used in aircraft instrument dials and panel displays as related to the conditions stated in para. 3. Numerous variables influence the legibility of aircraft instrument dial characters. This situation makes it very difficult, if not impossible, to establish an exact act of rules for optimizing all installations. Character size, one of the important considerations, can be optimized where adequate dial space exists. Usually this is not the case and the designer is faced with placing the information in a limited space while continuing to strive for error-free legibility. Appropriate minimum size requirements have been stated herein for guidance in air transport use.
A-4 Aircraft Instruments Committee
The standard delineates the characteristics of electric power supplied to airborne equipment at the equipment terminals and the requirements for the utilization of such electric power by the airborne equipment.
AE-7C Systems
The scope of this SAE Aerospace Information Report includes practical applications, theory, process management, audit and control recommendations, recommended validation intervals, verification and validation, file setup parameters, additional considerations, and process documentation.
EG-1A Balancing Committee
This Standard describes the use of ANSI X3.4 for numerically controlled machines, attached communication equipment, and associated perforated tape preparation equipment.
Systems Management Council
This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) provides details of how to perform hydraulic system calculations using equations that incorporate the metric International System of Units (SI).
A-6 Aerospace Actuation, Control and Fluid Power Systems
This Aerospace Standard (AS), establishes minimum performance standards for those sensors, computers, transponders, and airplane flight deck controls/displays which together comprise a Takeoff Performance Monitor (TOPM) System. This standard also defines functional capabilities, design requirements, and test procedures. A TOPM system is intended to monitor the progress of the takeoff and to provide advisory information which the crew may use in conjunction with other available cues to decide to continue or abort the takeoff. See Appendix A for supplementary information relating to NTSB, CAA, and ad hoc committee concerns and background information.
S-7 Flight Deck Handling Qualities Stds for Trans Aircraft
This document specifies instructions to verify proper calibration of all balancing machines used for processing gas turbine rotors. Detailed test procedures and test log samples are provided to evaluate the condition of the machine under test. These performance and test requirements may be used for new installations, periodic surveillance, or following repairs that may have affected machine performance. Calibration of the balancing machine is an activity done prior to verification testing and is outside the scope of this document. Troubleshooting of difficulties during the verification tests is also outside the scope of this document; this document is purely an instructive procedure.
EG-1A Balancing Committee
This document recommends general designs, tolerances, limits of application and suitable tooling, fixtures and accessories for mounting and driving jet engine rotors on horizontal and vertical balancing machines.
EG-1A Balancing Committee
This AIR provides basic background information and guidance for design and development of BMS architectures to be used in RLBs for aerospace applications. This guidance applies to batteries that are considered “installed” equipment and are intended to be part of the original or supplemental type certification or military airframe qualification.
AE-7D Aircraft Energy Storage and Charging Committee
This procurement specification covers bolts and screws made from a corrosion and heat resistant, age hardenable nickel base alloy of the type identified under the Unified Numbering System as UNS N07718. The following specification designations and their properties are covered:
E-25 General Standards for Aerospace and Propulsion Systems
This document recommends standard gland design criteria and dimensions for dynamic radial O-ring seal applications specifically for engine and engine control systems operating at pressures up to a maximum of 1500 psi (10342.14 kPa) and provides recommendations for modifying these glands in special applications. There are no provisions in this document for anti-extrusion devices. NOTE: The criteria set forth here are similar to but not identical with those in MIL-G-5514 and AS4716. This document is not intended to replace MIL-G-5514 or AS4716 for hydraulic applications.
A-6C2 Seals Committee
This Aerospace Information Report (AIR) describes conditions under which freezing (frozen) brakes can occur and describes operating procedures which have been used to prevent or lessen the severity or probability of brake freezing. This document also identifies design features that some manufacturers implement to minimize the occurrence of freezing brakes. This document is not an Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) and therefore does not make recommendations based on a consensus of the industry. However, part of this document’s purpose is to describe the design and operational practices that some are using to minimize the risk of frozen brakes. NOTE: The following information is based upon experience gained across a wide-range of aircraft types and operational profiles, and should NOT take precedence over Aircraft Flight Manual or Flight Operations Procedures.
A-5A Wheels, Brakes and Skid Controls Committee
This document lists military and industry specifications and standards which are used in aerospace systems and for ground servicing equipment. The characteristic limitations of the hose, which are of major importance to designers, and the sizes in which the hoses are standard are shown. Revisions and amendments, which are current for these specifications and standards, are not listed.
G-3, Aerospace Couplings, Fittings, Hose, Tubing Assemblies
This document reviews current aerospace software, hardware, and system development standards used in the certification/approval process of safety-critical airborne and ground-based systems, and assesses whether these standards are compatible with a typical Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) development approach. The document then outlines what is required to produce a standard that provides the necessary accommodation to support integration of ML-enabled sub-systems into safety-critical airborne and ground-based systems, and details next steps in the production of such a standard.
G-34 Artificial Intelligence in Aviation
This SAE Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) applies to Point-Of-Use, Central and Mobile Pre-Conditioned Air Equipment. It does not apply to aircraft mounted equipment.
