Recommended system design to prevent air effects and maintenance procedures to prevent and remove air are provided. Nitrogen leakage from accumulators is also a source of gas in hydraulic systems and may compose a portion of the “air” in the hydraulic system. The term “air” in this report does not differentiate between a gas composed strictly of normal atmospheric air or one that includes a mixture of additional nitrogen as well. It provides an elevating platform to facilitate access to the aircraft; it does not cover devices for in-terminal or streetside transfers, wheelchairs for on-board aircraft or in-terminal usage, or aircraft boarding bridges. However, it should be recognized that for many handicapped passengers, a boarding chair is necessary for the lifting operation and movement to the passenger's seat inside the aircraft cabin. Such wheelchairs are widely used in larger aircraft, and the Federal Aviation Agency has developed a performance specification for a boarding chair for commuter aircraft

Such tests support the requirements of AS8049 - Performance Standard for Seats in Civil Rotorcraft, Transport Aircraft and General Aviation Aircraft. These setup and analysis procedures are applicable to conventional, geometry based, two-dimensional analysis. If a more sophisticated technique that allows cameras to be installed at oblique angles for two or three-dimensional analysis is used, then the specific procedures required by that technique supersede any conflicting procedures contained herein. This specification provides dimensional standards for crimp type contact wire barrel design and is a replacement for MS3190. Some wire barrel designs may exist in AS39029 but are not considered approved for future use, therefore, will not appear in this specification. The crimp barrel sizes listed in this document have been standardized in AS39029 and AS22520 specifications, tools and contacts are available to support these listed sizes. These crimp barrel requirements shall be used for any contact, regardless of whether it is a standard or non-standard contact configuration. The specification lists details for three types of wire barrels: A, B, and C. Wire barrel type A is not recommended for new design. Table 4 lists each AS39029 detail sheet wire barrel type
