Abstract
Content

Aeromechanical loads for the UH 60A main rotor are predicted with a coupled computational fluid/structural dynamic software combination, and the results are correlated against flight test data. A high thrust forward flight condition is simulated in this study. The harmonic content of the blade loads is presented to clearly illustrate the current capabilities of the Dymore/GT-Hybrid code combination as a potential design tool for vibration reduction and swashplate servo loading. The methodology captures the first and second harmonics well, but higher harmonics (≥ 3 per rev) are not well captured with the software utilized in its current form.
