V-22 FLIGHT TEST-A PROMISE FULFILLED

The tiltrotor concept is compared to other forms of V/STOL aircraft and its high hover efficiency and cruise efficiency is shown to combine to maximize productivity for both short and long-range missions. Initial developmental flight testing of the V-22 Osprey is reviewed and shows that the aircraft will meets its goals.
