Abstract

On 23 September 1985, the HH-60A Night Hawk equipped with 1200 pounds of integrated avionics left the IBM facility in upstate New York and flew across the country to Edwards Air Force Base in California. There the Night Hawk avionics are being thoroughly tested for compliance to specification requirements and operational suitability. These tests are scheduled to complete in June 1986. Although the tests are not yet complete, enough information has been collected to provide a progress report on this state-of-the-art avionics system.
