Fatigue Test Of The Typical Main Rotor Controls Component

This paper presents the rational and procedures followed at Bell Helicopter Textron in conducting a typical qualification fatigue test of a main rotor controls component. The specific methods used embody many procedures that have been developed to insure the highest quality of the fatigue tests, and are indicative of the variety of challenges faced by testing personnel. A typical example, which illustrates many of these factors, is included.
