Development and Service Testing of the 47 J Helicopter

The Model 47J helicopter is the latest one in the Bell Model 47 series. It was developed to provide a helicopter having greater utility than the previous models in the 47 class, and yet retain as much of the good as possible from the earlier service-proven models. Before going into the details of the Model 47J development, I would like to recall briefly some of the earlier ships in the series.
