- This abstract explores the critical role of design and fabrication in developing electric motorcycle chassis frames. For these sustainable and efficient vehicles, the chassis must be lightweight yet possess the strength to handle dynamic forces. Unlike traditional gasoline motorcycles, the placement of the electric motor and batteries in electric motorcycles necessitates meticulous attention to weight distribution and center of gravity optimization. The design phase often leverages computer-aided engineering software to meticulously analyze stress and strain under various loading scenarios, guaranteeing the frame meets safety and performance benchmarks. Fabrication methods can vary based on available resources and budget. Common options include steel tubing, offering a balance of affordability and strength, or for weight reduction and potentially superior handling, advanced materials like aluminum or carbon fiber. In conclusion, a successful electric motorcycle chassis design must achieve a delicate equilibrium between weight minimization, structural integrity, and cost-effectiveness, ultimately paving the way for a more environmentally friendly and exhilarating riding experience.
