Abstract
Content
Today's marketplace and the increased requirements of material specifications have caused modern steelmakers to improve their current products and develop new ones. In doing so, the processes and products have been optimized with respect to properties, performance, quality, and cost. Several of these processes/products and the benefits they provide are described. Developments/improvements in steelmaking, internal quality, chemistry/hardenability control, machinability, cost effective alloying, and similar areas of interest for both bar and tubular products are included.
