Scope
This document presents a catalog of safety sign text and artwork that can be used by any ready mixed concrete truck manufacturer to warn of common hazards.
Rationale
Common safety signs recommended by this standard will improve safety by establishing common signs to be used by all manufacturers of ready mixed concrete trucks. Common signs will benefit operators by establishing recognizable reminders of hazards that will be the same no matter who manufactures the product.

The responsibility of Ready-Mix Concrete Truck Safety Committee is to initiate, develop, review and approve the recommended practices, standards, and information reports related to the design and operation of ready-mix concrete trucks. A ready-mix concrete truck is an on-road vehicle used to deliver ready-mix concrete and other aggregate to construction sites.
