This SAE Information Report documents the problems with the 2002 regulated version of the spine box and defines a recommended solution to resolve the problem.

The Dummy Testing Equipment Committee (DTEC) is a group of experts with experience in the area of certification and handling of Anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATD), more commonly known as crash test dummies, and equipment related to ATD. The DTEC seeks to standardize the use and certification of ATD so that test data are both repeatable and reproducible.
