Scope
This document specifies those requirements of a balancing machine which make it suitable for the subject class of work.
It will specify:

Accuracy of indications of amount and location of unbalance,

The SAE EG-1A Balancing committee concerns itself with all balancing methods and procedures as they relate to the interests of the aerospace industry. The group’s scope includes creating, preparing and, maintaining all relevant specifications, recommended practices, standards and, requirements for rotor balance measurement, evaluation and, correction. The SAE EG-1A committee includes OEMs, suppliers, processors, consulting firms, government, academia and others throughout both the commercial and military aerospace industries.
