This SAE Recommended Practice provides a test procedure for determining passenger car tire revolutions per mile. It is intended to supplement SAE J678.
Committee recommends to reaffirm because we may wish to modify the document in the future to align this method with the ISO method.

To plan and execute a cooperative tire test development program, to evaluate the fatigue endurance performance of light duty highway tires. Activities will include empirical comparisons of tire performance on the various, proposed tests, together with evaluating reasonable relationships to tire usage and durability performance on the highway.
