In conjunction with the standard Five-Year Review, this document has been updated to address industry trends; in particular, the development of pure battery-electric vehicles for commercial vehicle applications.

The Truck and Bus Brake Systems Committee of the Truck and Bus Brake and Stability Control Steering Committee is responsible for developing, reviewing, and approving recommended practices, standards, and information reports related to brake systems of trucks, tractor-trailer combinations and buses over 10,000 lbs (4500 Kg) GVWR designed primarily for highway use.
