The Special Purpose Vehicle Committee is dedicated to creating, preparing and maintaining all relevant documentation that addresses special purpose vehicles, including the following four major groups of vehicles: 1. ATV's 2. Light Utility Haulers (Turf, Industrial and Others) 3. Golf Cars and Closed Community Street Vehicles (CCVs) 4. Other [Hovercraft, Tracked Vehicles (non-recreational), Go Karts, Sand/Dune Vehicles, Limited Productions and Trams] Participants in the SAE Special Purpose Vehicle Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government and other interested parties.
