Electrical Distribution Steering Committee
The scope of the Electrical Distribution Systems Steering Committee includes the development and maintenance of standards and recommended practices for automotive power and signal distribution systems used in passenger cars and light duty trucks. The scope includes standards for wiring systems, connection systems, cable, and harness coverings. Standards are developed for all voltage ratings up to but not including ignition cable assemblies and components. The scope does not include circuit protection or switching devices.

* Redlines comparisons are available for those standards
listed in the Revision History that contain a radio button. A
redline comparison of the current version against a revision is
accomplished by selecting the radio button next to the standard and
then selecting 'compare'. At this time, Redline versions only exist
for some AMS standards. SAE will continue to add redline versioning
with ongoing updates to SAE MOBILUS.
