Gasoline Fuel Injection Standards Committee
The Gasoline Fuel Injection Standards Committee reports to the Powertrain Systems Group of the Motor Vehicle Council. The Committee is responsible for developing and maintaining SAE Standards, Recommended Practice documents and Information reports that apply to automotive gasoline fuel injection systems. This includes the design and testing of any associated fuel system component parts and assemblies for both mechanical and electronic fuel injection systems that are utilized in spark ignition engines. Areas that are not encompassed include diesel injection systems and system control strategies. The SAE Gasoline Fuel Injection Standards Committee is comprised of members who represent injector manufacturers, automotive OEMs, automotive suppliers, consulting firms, associated government agencies, the national laboratories and other interested parties.
