Motorcycle Technical Steering Committee
The Motorcycle Technical Steering Committee develops and maintains SAE Standards, Recommended Practices and Information Reports related to improving and promoting the design, construction, and maintenance of motorcycles and related vehicles. The committee maintains liaison with the International Standards Organization (ISO) and, as necessary, with organizations such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), SAE-related committees and other organizations. Participants in the SAE Motorcycle Technical Committee include OEMs, suppliers, consulting firms, government and other interested parties.
