Rationale
THIS SPECIFICATION WAS CREATED TO FACILITATE THE INSTALLATION OF UNS S32100 SAFETY CABLE ONTO LOW PROFILE BOLTS AND SIMILAR FASTENERS. LOW PROFILE APPLICATIONS SOMETIMES RESULT IN LOOSE CABLE TENSION WHEN THE STANDARD LENGTH FERRULE IS USED. THIS PROVIDES A SUPPLEMENTAL PART THAT ALLOWS FOR A MORE ROBUST INSTALLATION.
