This document specifies those requirements and procedures for periodic tests to insure maintenance of balancing machine capabilities for balancing jet engine components.
It will specify:

Issuing Committee
The SAE EG-1A Balancing committee concerns itself with all balancing methods and procedures as they relate to the interests of the aerospace industry. The group’s scope includes creating, preparing and, maintaining all relevant specifications, recommended practices, standards and, requirements for rotor balance measurement, evaluation and, correction. The SAE EG-1A committee includes OEMs, suppliers, processors, consulting firms, government, academia and others throughout both the commercial and military aerospace industries.
