G-12ADF Aircraft Deicing Fluids
SAE G-12 serves as the focal point for all ground de-icing related activities within SAE. G-12 reports directly to the SAE Aerospace General Projects Division (under the SAE Aerospace Council). G-12 provides support and assistance and maintains the responsibility for coordinating projects that cross SAE committee charter boundaries and assure that all aspects of ground deicing are addressed. The project work and preparation of documents is handled by the following G-12 Subcommittees: Deicing Facilities Hold-over Testing Methods Fluids Equipment Ice Detection Training Future Deicing Technology Functions of the G-12 Committee and its subcommittees include (but are not limited to): Providing support and assistance to other industry groups and standardization organizations in aircraft ground deicing related activities. Developing and disseminating documentation deemed necessary for a thorough understanding and implementation of guidelines, policies and procedures reflecting most recent technology for aircraft ground deicing. Promoting safety in the aircraft ground deicing field. Defining and encouraging research and development that is necessary for the advancement of technology.
