Abstract
NEWCON™ is a reactor TPO's made with Chisso's Gas- Phase Process using our proprietary new catalyst.
NEWCON™ has two types of polymer, NEWCON-A and NEWCON-H, which differ in their solid state structure.
The NEWCON-A family is new polymer alloy and exhibits unique solid state texture. The soft segments (rubbery polymer component) are typically dispersed in a lamellar structure matrix (semi-crystalline polymer component) having a thickness for 200∼300 nano-meters. The solid state texture of NEWCON-A can significantly improve clarity, mold shrinkage, CLTE(Coefficient of Linear Thermal Expansion), toughness and reduce stress whitening (versus conventional TPO) while achieving equal ductile performance at cold temperatures.
NEWCON™ has been successfully molded into bumper fascia and side molding due to its low C.L.T.E. and low cost. Furthermore, NEWCON™ is expected to replace PVC, such as interior skins.
